Ipamorelin is the synthetic pentapeptide Aib-His-D-2-Nal-D-Phe-Lys-NH2, developed by Novo Nordisk in the 1990s, supplied as a lyophilized powder in a sealed vial.
Ipamorelin was characterised by Raun et al. (European Journal of Endocrinology, 1998) and is studied in cellular models as a ghrelin-receptor ligand. It is also one of the two components of the CJC-1295 / Ipamorelin blend.
