What comes up when searching for peptides in Finland?
Most searches in Finland are typed in Finnish: « peptidit », « peptidit netistä » or « retatrutide Suomi ». The search pages mix two unrelated things.
One is cosmetics: serums and creams with a fraction of a percent of peptide, sold by the millilitre.
The other is research reagents: the peptide itself, freeze-dried in a sealed vial, measured in milligrams and backed by a lab analysis. The two cannot be compared, neither by content nor by price.
This page is in English because many of the labs that order from Finland work in English: university groups in Helsinki, Espoo, Tampere, Turku and Oulu, biotech teams on the research campuses around them, and visiting scientists.
The Finnish version of this guide, with the same catalogue and prices, is Peptidit Suomessa: tutkimuspeptidit, retatrutide, hinta per mg ja toimitus.
A research peptide is a laboratory reagent: a lyophilised solid in a sealed glass vial, identified by its amino-acid sequence and its mass, and checked by HPLC and mass spectrometry.
It is sold labelled for research, priced per vial, and compared per milligram. The product pages, the basket and the checkout are in English, with prices in euros. That is the frame for everything below.
How does delivery to Finland work, and what does it cost?
Finland sits inside the EU customs union. A parcel posted from another member state crosses no customs border, so Finnish Customs (Tulli) never handles it and no import VAT is due. The price on the page is the price paid.
A parcel from outside the EU is an import, whatever its value.
The EU removed the old small-parcel VAT exemption, so even a cheap vial from outside the Union owes Finnish import VAT at 25.5 % on the goods plus shipping.
Customs duty can apply on top, and the carrier usually charges its own fee for clearing the parcel before delivery:
| Parcel sent from | Customs check | Import VAT |
|---|---|---|
| Another EU country | no | none |
| United States | yes | 25.5 % |
| China | yes, often a long wait | 25.5 % |
A price shown in dollars is the quickest sign of a parcel that will stop at the border. OXpeptides parcels leave a warehouse in the European Union and travel as a tracked parcel to every Finnish address:
| Delivery time to Finland | 4 to 6 business days, tracked |
|---|---|
| Shipping | €9.90, free from €120 |
| Customs and import VAT | none (intra-EU parcel) |
| Packaging | plain box, no product name outside |
| Returns | 30 days on sealed vials |
Payment is in euros by card with 3-D Secure, with no account to create.
Finland uses the euro, so there is no currency conversion and no bank conversion fee. One e-mail confirms the order at once, a second carries the tracking link when the parcel leaves. The full country list is on the shipping page.
How should research peptide prices be compared per mg?
Research peptide sellers in Finland and abroad often quote a price per vial. That number hides the real cost, because a 5 mg vial and a 10 mg vial are not the same purchase.
Divide the price by the milligrams on the label, then compare vials of the same size. GHK-Cu 100 mg at €59.90 works out at €0.60/mg; a 50 mg vial at half that price is not cheaper.
Inside one catalogue, the size moves the price per mg more than the shop does. OXpeptides retatrutide costs €8.99/mg in the 10 mg vial, €7.50/mg in the 20 mg vial and €6.50/mg in the 30 mg vial.
A long research series is cheaper in large vials; a short one wastes less in small ones, since the powder stays stable until the vial is opened.
In the basket, the price per vial also drops on its own from 3 and from 5 vials of the same size.
One more correction to any per-mg figure: it assumes the vial holds what the label says.
A « 10 mg » vial that holds 7 mg is the most expensive vial in Finland per real milligram, whatever the sticker. Compare only shops that publish a lab report for the size they sell.
What do Finnish rules say about research peptides?
In Finland, medicinal products fall under the Medicines Act (lääkelaki).
The authority is Fimea, the Finnish Medicines Agency (Lääkealan turvallisuus- ja kehittämiskeskus), which handles marketing authorisations, inspections and market surveillance.
A product presented as intended for people, or with a promised outcome, is a medicinal product in its eyes and needs an authorisation before it can be sold.
Research peptides have no such authorisation.
That is why they can only be offered as laboratory reagents: labelled « for research use only », described by their chemistry, with no instructions for people or animals.
The line is drawn by how a product is presented, not by its name. A shop that posts instructions, testimonials or promised outcomes next to a vial is presenting it as a medicinal product, whatever the label says.
The World Anti-Doping Agency list also names BPC-157 (class S0) and TB-500 (class S2) as prohibited substances, which matters for any lab that works with sports organisations.
This page is not legal advice; each institution's own rules apply to its lab.

What is retatrutide, and which lab reports cover it in Finland?
Retatrutide (LY3437943), often spelled « retatrutidi » in Finnish, is an investigational peptide developed by Eli Lilly. In laboratory models it binds three receptors of the incretin and glucagon family at once.
It is in phase 3 studies and has no marketing authorisation from the European Medicines Agency, so no authorised retatrutide product exists in Finland. What circulates there is lyophilised powder sold as a research reagent.
For that powder, the useful document is a lab report tied to the size in the basket. The OXpeptides reports come from Janoshik Analytical in Prague, one per size:
| Vial | Janoshik task | Purity (HPLC) |
|---|---|---|
| Retatrutide 10 mg | 217194 | 99.316% |
| Retatrutide 20 mg | 217014 | 99.763% |
| Retatrutide 30 mg | 217015 | 99.713% |
The vials are on the retatrutide 10, 20 and 30 mg page, and the full guide with sizes and storage is buy retatrutide in Europe. We publish nothing about use in people.
Which other peptides does OXpeptides ship to Finland?
After retatrutide, these are the vials Finnish labs add to the same order.
BPC-157 10 mg costs €54.90 (€5.49/mg); it is a synthetic chain of 15 amino acids, first described from a protein in gastric juice.
TB-500 10 mg is the synthetic fragment of thymosin beta-4 that labs often study alongside it, and KLOW 80 mg combines four sequences in one vial: GHK-Cu, BPC-157, TB-500 and KPV.
MOTS-c is a 16-amino-acid peptide encoded in mitochondrial DNA, and Semax and Selank are short heptapeptides first described by Russian research institutes.
All of them ship in the same parcel, with the same delivery time to Finland, so a mixed order costs one shipping fee or none above the free threshold.
Is GHK-Cu in Finland a research powder or a cosmetic serum?
Search « GHK-Cu » in Finland and most of the first page is cosmetics: creams and serums sold in beauty shops, listed under the INCI name Copper Tripeptide-1, with a fraction of a percent of copper peptide in a finished formula.
A research vial holds the peptide itself, glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine bound to a copper ion, as a blue lyophilised powder measured in milligrams, with no carrier and no fragrance.
The two are priced differently: a serum per millilitre of product, a vial per milligram of peptide.
The OXpeptides GHK-Cu 100 mg costs €59.90 (€0.60/mg), with Janoshik report 217016 for the lot on sale (99.603 % purity).
Its sister peptide, where glycine is replaced by alanine, is on the AHK-Cu page, and GHK-Cu vs AHK-Cu compares them.
How are bacteriostatic water and peptide vials stored on arrival?
Bacteriostatic water is sterile water with 0.9 % benzyl alcohol as a preservative, supplied in a sealed glass vial as a laboratory diluent.
Check the words « bacteriostatic » and « 0.9 % benzyl alcohol », a sealed cap, a lot number and an expiry date. OXpeptides ships it in the same parcel as the peptides: see bacteriostatic water.
Freeze-dried powder in an unbroken vial is the most stable form a peptide can take; light, heat and above all moisture break it down.
On arrival the seal should be intact and the powder dry, as a cake or a fine powder. Sealed vials keep best in a freezer at −20 °C, in their box, away from light and moisture.
Powder that has clumped and turned sticky has taken up water. The guide lyophilized peptides storage covers shelf life.

How can a peptide seller be checked from Finland?
A peptide seller can be checked from Finland in six steps, none of which needs an order:
- Company details. An online shop must show a company name, an address and a registration number; in Finland that is the business ID (Y-tunnus). A social-media profile or a messenger handle is not a company.
- A lab report per size. One PDF for the smallest vial, reused for the larger ones, says nothing about the vial in the basket.
- A verifiable report. Janoshik reports carry a task number and a key; typed on janoshik.com, they must open the same document as the shop's.
- A measured quantity, not only a purity. « 99 % pure » on 7 mg of a « 10 mg » vial is still 7 mg.
- Dispatch from the EU. Prices in dollars usually mean customs and 25.5 % VAT at the door.
- Card payment and a written return policy. Bank transfers to a private account and crypto-only checkouts are warning signs.
The long version is how to check a peptide supplier, every line of a report is explained in Janoshik test report, all OXpeptides reports sit in the report library, and the comparison of research peptide suppliers in Europe puts the main shops side by side.
For laboratory research only. Not for human or veterinary use.
