About Bacteriostatic Water
Bacteriostatic Water (Aqua bacteriostatica) is sterile water for injection containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a bacteriostatic preservative. This formulation meets the requirements of USP (United States Pharmacopeia) and is used as the standard solvent for reconstitution of lyophilized peptides in research. Benzyl alcohol inhibits microbial growth and enables multiple withdrawals from the vial over a period of up to 28 days after first puncture. The product is supplied in sterile 10-mL glass vials with rubber stopper and aluminum crimp cap.
