What do you find when you search for peptides in Hungary?

A search for peptides in Hungary mixes two worlds.

Hungarians type « peptid », « peptidek » or « retatrutid », and the first page blends cosmetic serums sold per millilitre with Facebook groups where prices sit in the comments and payment is arranged by private message.

Very few of those pages show a lab report for the exact vial size a buyer would receive.

This page is in English because many of the labs that order from Hungary work in English: university groups in Budapest, Debrecen, Szeged and Pécs, biotech and contract research teams around Budapest and Győr, and visiting researchers.

The Hungarian version of this guide, with the same catalogue, is Retatrutid és peptidek Magyarországon. On both, the product page, the basket and the checkout are in English, with prices in euros.

A research peptide is a laboratory reagent: a lyophilised solid in a sealed glass vial, identified by its amino-acid sequence and its mass, and checked by HPLC and mass spectrometry.

It is sold labelled for research, priced per vial, and compared per milligram. That is the frame for everything below.

Why does the origin of a parcel decide the bill in Hungary?

Hungary sits inside the EU customs union, so a parcel to Hungary posted from another member state crosses no customs border.

The Hungarian customs service, NAV (Nemzeti Adó- és Vámhivatal, the national tax and customs office), never handles it and no import VAT is due. The price on the page is the price paid.

A parcel from outside the EU is an import, whatever its value.

The EU removed the old small-parcel exemption, so even a cheap vial from outside the Union owes Hungarian import VAT at 27 %, the highest standard VAT rate in the Union, on the goods plus shipping.

Customs duty can apply on top, and the carrier charges its own fee for clearing the parcel before delivery:

Parcel sent fromCustoms checkImport VAT

Chinayes, often a long wait27 %

At 27 %, the import VAT alone moves a non-EU vial well above an EU one at the same sticker price, before any clearance fee.

OXpeptides parcels leave a warehouse in the European Union and are handed to the national post for the last mile:

Payment is in euros by card with 3-D Secure, with no account to create. One e-mail confirms the order at once, a second carries the tracking link when the parcel leaves. The full country list is on the shipping page.

How do you compare peptide prices in Hungary?

Peptide prices in Hungary are usually quoted per vial, « darabár », by local sellers and Facebook groups.

That number hides the real cost, because a 5 mg vial and a 10 mg vial are not the same purchase. Divide the price by the milligrams on the label, then compare vials of the same size.

Inside one catalogue, the size moves the price per mg more than the shop does. OXpeptides retatrutide costs €8.99/mg in the 10 mg vial, €7.50/mg in the 20 mg vial and €6.50/mg in the 30 mg vial.

A long research series is cheaper in large vials; a short one wastes less in small ones, since the powder stays stable until the vial is opened.

In the basket, the price per vial also drops on its own from 3 and from 5 vials of the same size.

Hungary still uses the forint.

OXpeptides does not bill in forints: every price is in euros, and the bank that issued the card converts the total to HUF at its daily rate.

Comparing shops is therefore simplest in euros per mg, with only the final total converted.

One more correction to any per-mg figure: it assumes the vial holds what the label says.

A « 10 mg » vial that holds 7 mg is the most expensive vial in Hungary per real milligram, whatever the sticker.

Compare only shops that publish a lab report for the size they sell; the comparison of research peptide suppliers in Europe does this shop by shop.

What do Hungarian rules say about research peptides?

In Hungary, medicinal products are overseen by the OGYÉI (Országos Gyógyszerészeti és Élelmezés-egészségügyi Intézet), the national authority that authorises medicinal products, inspects distributors and runs market surveillance.

A product offered to people, with an amount to take or a promised outcome, is a medicinal product in the eyes of the OGYÉI and needs an authorisation before it can be sold.

Research peptides have no such authorisation.

That is why they can only be offered as laboratory reagents: labelled « for research use only », described by their chemistry, with no instructions for people or animals.

The line is drawn by how a product is presented, not by its name. A shop that posts instructions, testimonials or promised outcomes next to a vial is presenting it as a medicinal product, whatever the label says.

The World Anti-Doping Agency list also names BPC-157 (class S0) and TB-500 (class S2) as prohibited, which matters for any lab that works with sport organisations.

This page is not legal advice; each institution's own rules apply to its lab.

What is retatrutide, and which lab reports cover it?

Retatrutide (LY3437943) is an investigational peptide developed by Eli Lilly. In laboratory models it binds three receptors of the incretin and glucagon family.

It is in phase 3 studies and has no marketing authorisation from the European Medicines Agency, so the OGYÉI register lists no retatrutide product.

What circulates in Hungary, searched as « retatrutid », is lyophilised powder sold as a research reagent.

For that powder, the useful document is a lab report tied to the size in the basket. OXpeptides reports come from Janoshik Analytical, one per size:

VialJanoshik taskPurity (HPLC)
Retatrutide 10 mg21719499.316%
Retatrutide 20 mg21701499.763%
Retatrutide 30 mg21701599.713%

The vials are on the retatrutide 10, 20 and 30 mg page, at €89.90, €149.90 and €194.90, and the full guide with sizes and storage is buy retatrutide in Europe. OXpeptides publishes nothing about use in people.

Which other peptides ship to Hungary in the same parcel?

After retatrutide, these are the OXpeptides vials Hungarian labs add to the same order.

BPC-157 10 mg costs €54.90 (€5.49/mg); it is a synthetic chain of 15 amino acids.

TB-500 10 mg is the fragment of thymosin beta-4 that labs often study alongside it, and KLOW 80 mg combines GHK-Cu, BPC-157, TB-500 and KPV in one vial.

MOTS-c is a 16-amino-acid peptide encoded in mitochondrial DNA, and Semax and Selank are short heptapeptides first described by Russian research institutes.

All of them ship in the same parcel, with the same delivery time to Hungary, so a mixed order costs one shipping fee or none above the free threshold.

Janoshik reports are published for retatrutide 10, 20 and 30 mg and for GHK-Cu 100 mg; the full set sits in the lab report library.

GHK-Cu in Hungary: research powder or cosmetic serum?

GHK-Cu searches in Hungary mostly return cosmetics: creams and serums sold in beauty shops and online, with a fraction of a percent of copper peptide in a finished formula.

A research vial holds the peptide itself, glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine bound to a copper ion, as a blue lyophilised powder measured in milligrams.

The two are priced differently: a serum per millilitre of product, a vial per milligram of peptide.

OXpeptides GHK-Cu 100 mg costs €59.90 (€0.60/mg), with Janoshik report 217016 for the lot on sale (99.603 % purity).

Its sister peptide is on the AHK-Cu page, where glycine is replaced by alanine, and GHK-Cu vs AHK-Cu compares them.

main peakimpurityimpurityretention time →signal
What a chromatogram shows. The percentage on the certificate is the shaded area divided by the area of every peak on the trace. Some laboratories print the trace as an option; the report still has to name the compound, give the quantity in mg and the purity.

How should peptides and bacteriostatic water be stored on arrival?

Bacteriostatic water is sterile water with 0.9 % benzyl alcohol as a preservative, supplied in a sealed glass vial as a laboratory diluent.

Check the words « bacteriostatic » and « 0.9 % benzyl alcohol », a sealed cap, a lot number and an expiry date. OXpeptides ships it in the same parcel as the peptides: see bacteriostatic water.

On arrival the seal should be intact and the powder dry, as a cake or a fine powder.

Sealed vials keep best in a freezer at −20 °C, in their box, away from light and moisture. Powder that has clumped and turned sticky has taken up moisture. The guide lyophilized peptides storage covers shelf life.

How do you check a peptide seller from Hungary?

A peptide seller can be checked from Hungary with six tests, none of which needs an order:

  1. An impresszum. Online shops serving Hungary must show a company name, an address and a registration number. A Facebook profile or a messenger handle is not one.
  2. A lab report per size. One PDF for the smallest vial, reused for the larger ones, says nothing about the vial being bought.
  3. A verifiable report. Janoshik reports carry a task number and a key; typed on janoshik.com, they must open the same document as the shop's.
  4. A measured quantity, not only a purity. « 99 % pure » on 7 mg of a « 10 mg » vial is still 7 mg.
  5. Dispatch from the EU. Prices in dollars usually mean customs and 27 % VAT at the door.
  6. Card payment and a written return policy. Bank transfers to a private account and crypto-only checkouts are warning signs.

The long version is how to check a peptide supplier, and every line of a report is explained in Janoshik test report.
