CJC-1295 DAC es un péptido sintético de 30 aminoácidos, un análogo del fragmento 1-29 de la hormona liberadora de hormona de crecimiento (GHRH) con cuatro sustituciones de aminoácidos y un enlazador de ácido maleimidopropiónico (el grupo DAC, que se une a la albúmina), suministrado como polvo liofilizado en un vial sellado.
The DAC linker was designed by ConjuChem (Jetté et al., Endocrinology 2005) so that the peptide binds serum albumin in vitro; the compound is studied in cellular and animal models as a GHRH-receptor ligand.
